Considering factors for costing or pricing

Considering factors for costing or pricing

Every merchant has to know about all processes of garments from fabric received to finished garments for pricing or costing.  The main considering factor for costing or pricing are as below-

Considering factors for Washing

i. For all extreme motion orders burst sewing needs additional cost for side seam ironing. At the same time for proper high-low effect on the side, the seam needs to add lining cost.

ii. Need to add cost as per dry process position-wise.

a. For example, we get only front whisker costs but there are different position whiskers in a garment (Front whisker, Knee whisker, back part pocket side whisker, back knee whisker, Chevron whisker, Front hem whisker, Back hem whisker, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

b. We getting hand sand cost only but there is a different position of hand sanding in the same garments (Front hand sand, Backhand sand, back knee ball, Front hem ball, Back hem ball, Full body hand sand, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

c. We getting PP spray cost only but there are different position PP spray in the same garments (Front PP spray, Back PP spray, Back knee ball PP spray, Front hem ball PP spray, Back hem ball PP spray, Full body PP spray, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

d. We getting tagging cost only but there is different position tagging in the same garments (Front pocket corner, Back pocket corner, Front coin pocket corner, Side seam, Knee, Hem, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

e. We getting grinding cost only but there is different position grinding in the same garments (Front pocket rolling, back pocket rolling, Front coin pocket rolling, Hem rolling, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

f. We are getting destroyed only, but different positions & different sizes are destroyed in the same garments (The front part right panel, Front part left panel, the back right pocket, Back left pocket, front pocket, Into seam area, etc.). At the same time destroy size is a major factor that has to consider for proper costing. We need additional costs for different position processes & different sizes.

g. For example, we get only 3D crinkle or 2D Iron crinkle cost, but there are different position crinkles in a garment (Front crinkle, Knee crinkle, back part pocket side crinkle, back knee crinkle, Chevron crinkle, Front hem crinkle, Back hem crinkle, etc.). We need additional costs for different position processes.

iii. Due to poor quality Lycra in fabric manufacturing, washing suffers many challenges during the washing of sewing completed garments. That’s why must need to add Lycra protector cost in the costing.

iv. For PP rubbing and full-body PP spray, we got only full-body PP spray cost. Here need to add PP rubbing cost. At the same time need a wide range of shade approval during order confirmation.

v. For the laser version we doing manual hand sanding + Laser sanding + PP spray. But we got only laser sanding costs. Should be added manual hand sanding cost.

vi. For achieving colorfastness to rubbing we always used a fixing agent. Therefore need to add fixing process cost. Which is not included in the KBI wash code.

vii. For denim light wash garments we always used an anti-ozone softener to avoid ozone fading. But we not getting any cost for the anti-ozone softening process. Should be added softening process cost.

viii. Have to consider box plate attaching by false fabric for Shirt & Jacket.

ix. Reinforcement at the bar-tack area must be considered for heavy enzyme wash & stone wash.

x. Must have completed the sewing of full order quantity before 7 days of CRD date. Washing will complete 2 days before the CRD date.

xi. Shade band needs to send washing plant before 15 days of CRD date for earlier approval purposes. Otherwise during the size-set sent to the washing plant must need shade band garments.

xii. The wash asking price must share with the washing technical head.

xiii. Sometimes we have used a 2-time enzyme for achieving the high-low effect of the wash standard. Therefore need to add a 2nd-time enzyme cost for some styles.

xiv. Before washing & after washing, visible fabric defects must have to complain letter to the supplier.

xv. Fabric off-shade must be claimed during the blanket stage immediate basis to the fabric supplier.

Considering factors for sewing factory

i. Fabric checking must be proper during fabric inspection.

ii. For burst sewing need additional side seam steam ironing before washing garments for proper high-low effect on the outcome on the side seam area.

iii. Have to consider a box plate attached by false fabric for Shirt & Jacket.

iv. For all stonewash, both denim & twill, the pocket bag must be locked by false stitch to avoid pocket bag tearing.

v. Reinforcement at the bar-tack area must be considered for heavy enzyme wash & stone wash.

vi. As per blanket shade segregation must implement a “Visual shade label or color cording” system to avoid off-shade issues & reduce rewash percentage.

vii. Should not bundle garments, especially for super stretch & Poly-Cotton fabrics to avoid crease marks?

viii. All twill light garments (during receive & delivery) & Denim light garments (during delivery) must use a bag for transportation with the washing plant.

ix. After washing, visible fabric defects must have to claim by the supplier.

x. Fabric off-shade must be claimed during the blanket stage immediate basis to the fabric supplier.

xi. Must have completed the sewing of full order quantity before 7 days of CRD date. Washing will complete 2 days before the CRD date.

xii. Shade band needs to send washing plant before 15 days of CRD date for earlier approval. Otherwise during the size-set sent to the washing plant must need shade band garments.
