There are different natural fibers we found. These all are used for different purposes. Some important fibers applications or uses are below-   

Uses of cotton fiber

Cotton fiber has different uses, especially in the textile industry. The following are some of the most common uses of this product.

i. Because of its high capacity to absorb, hold, and dry moisture, cotton offers maximum comfort under extreme heat and humidity.

ii. It is a fiber that breathes. Most consumers prefer cotton for its comfort, laudability, absorbency, ease of finishing, and dyeing.

iii. It is a preferred fabric for children & for anyone who has sensitive skin and is allergic to other fibers since it is non-allergic.

iv. A wide range of fabric construction methods can be employed including weaving, knitting as well as non-woven techniques.

v. Cotton is used universally for a variety of apparel.

vi. It is used extensively for stuffing.

vii. It can also be used as food for cattle given its edible attribute.

viii. The garments industry often uses yarn, a long continuous interlocked fiber, in their production process.

Uses of Jute fiber

Jute fiber is the second most important vegetable fiber after cotton.

i. The main uses of jute include bagging, carpeting, furniture fabrics, handicrafts, wall hanging, showpieces, shoes, the paper industry, and furniture making.

ii. As carpet support, jute adds durability and reduces slippage.

iii. However, the amount of jute used for carpets is decreasing as man-made fibers are taking their place.

iv. Natural resistance of jute to chemicals including detergents, bleach; other laundry aids and dry cleaning solvents provide a fabric that is easily maintained.

v. Further these features like resistance to sunlight and aging resistance result in longer fabrics.

vi. It is used as handicraft gifts and fancy items.

vii. It is also used for the preparation of coarse bags.

Uses of wool fiber

i. Wool fiber fabric is used for all kinds of garments, couch covers, bedspreads, toilet covers, tablecloths, and much more.

ii. Bedding and blankets are also made using wool or a mixture of different fabrics that includes wool.

iii. Most active clothing like shirts, pants, dresses, ties, skirts, and jackets can be made from wool-blended fabrics.

iv. It is used to make carpets, rugs, etc.

v. Wool felt is what piano hammers cover and is used to absorb odors and sounds on heavy equipment and stereo speakers.

vi. It can be used to make sweaters and jerseys.

Uses of silk fiber

i. Silk fiber fabric is mainly used in making garments such as dresses, ties, shirts, trousers, pajamas, underwear, and folk costumes.

ii. It is also used in skiing clothing due to its ability to retain body heat and Its low weight.

iii. It is used to make silk comforters or duvets that are lightweight and hypoallergenic.

iv. It is used as fabric for upholstery, curtains, rugs, and bedsheets.

v. Sometimes it is used to make parachute materials and cords, although parachutes are more commonly made from nylon.

vi. It is also occasionally used to make bicycle tire covers; Cotton and nylon are also used for this purpose.

vii. Its thread is used as a non-absorbable surgery suture.
